Consultant Gynaecological Radiologist
Dr. Sue Freeman (MRCP, FRCR) is a Consultant Radiologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, UK. She became the lead radiologist for gynaecological imaging in 2012. Addenbrooke’s is the regional referral centre for gynae-oncology for the East of England and an accredited endometriosis and mesh complication centre.
Addenbrooke’s hospital is a high-volume regional centre specialising in trauma, surgery and cancer medicine. Dr. Freeman provides radiological support across all of these domains.
Her research interests in gynae-oncology imaging include: the role of MRI in the staging and treatment stratification of cervical and endometrial tumours, the role of MRI / DWI in diagnosis, staging and treatment response in ovarian cancer. Current collaborative projects at the Cambridge Cancer Centre include the role of CT in understanding tumour biology and treatment response in ovarian carcinoma. She also interested in the role of ultrasound and MRI in endometriosis.
She has authored and co-authored numerous original research papers, review articles and several book chapters for both gynaecology and radiology textbooks. She has delivered numerous invited lectures at many national and international conferences and has co-organised several teaching courses and workshops.
