Dr. Lorenzo Mannelli

Dr. Lorenzo Mannelli (MD, PhD) is a Consultant Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Physician with Subspecialist interests in Cardiovascular imaging, emergency radiology and abdominal imaging. He is certified on the American Board of Radiology, American Board of Nuclear Medicine and the Italian Board of Radiology.
He received his Medical Degree from Florence University in Italy, during which he also served in the Italian Military Air Force and volunteered for the Italian Red Cross. He completed specialty training in Clinical Radiology at Florence University and subsequently undertook Fellowships in NYU Medical Center (USA), Cambridge University Hospitals (UK) and The University of Washington (USA).
He sub-specialised in Cardiovascular imaging following an Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship in New York University Medical Center and Trauma after completion of a fellowship organised by the Harborview Medical Center, Seattle.
Alongside this Dr. Mannelli is heavily involved in research having attained a PhD in Liver pathophysiology during his time in Florence and having written or contributed to over 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications. He has been a reviewer for various radiology journals and an associate editor for the journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and the European Journal of Hybrid Imaging. He has also won several international awards and honors for his extensive work in research.
Dr. Mannelli accepted the role of Assistant Professor at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York for several years before returning to the UK where he had previously worked in the NHS for Cambridge University Hospitals. He has worked as a Consultant Radiologist in Teleradiology since 2018.
